Chef at Caña

Chef Jim Rodriguez Montañez studied at Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico and Escuela Hotelera of San Juan. Jim's culinary journey started in 2003 and includes roles such as Head Chef at Moorings Bar & Grill, First Cook at Guido's Restaurant and OOF Restaurants, Sauté Chef at Bottles, and Salesman at Euro Equipment Kitchen. From 2010 to 2015, he was Head Chef at Restaurante Casa de España and from 2015 to 2019 the Head Chef at Princesa Gastro Bar. He also worked as a Private Chef and owned Cultivana Media Agency before joining Fairmont El San Juan Hotel. Chef Jim believes that cooking is an expression of the soul, where creating a plate means sharing a part of oneself and aiming for harmony in mind and soul.
